When it comes to your hearing health, you deserve expert support from a trusted specialist. At Clyde Audiology, we are proud to be a local practice in Glasgow with hearing audiologists who are keen to provide suitable hearing solutions that truly improve lives.

Our audiologists have worked in audiology for many years and have helped thousands of patients in Glasgow and surrounding areas. We provide complete hearing care available for adults across Scotland.

From your first hearing test to aftercare, we offer a range of services designed to support every stage of your hearing healthcare journey. Our aim is always to provide patients with the ability to hear clearly and help them live life to the fullest.

What Does an Audiologist Do?

An audiologist is a healthcare professional who specialises in identifying and treating hearing issues. At Clyde Audiology, our role is not only to provide comprehensive hearing assessments but also to examine the health of your ears, including the ear canal, and to tailor hearing solutions to your lifestyle.

During your appointment, your audiologist will also carry out a series of tests to help you determine if you could benefit from hearing aids. We then make recommendations based on your hearing needs and usage, ensuring we work with you to find the right hearing aid for your situation.

Why You Might Need an Audiologist for Hearing Care

Hearing loss can affect anyone and the signs often develop gradually. If you are struggling to hear conversations, turning up the television louder than those around you or avoiding noisy situations, it may be time to book an appointment with an audiologist.

Hearing issues such as tinnitus, infections, or earwax build-up can also make everyday life more difficult. A simple hearing test is the best way to make sure your hearing is properly assessed. This test will help you determine if you could benefit from hearing aids or other treatments.

The Benefits of Seeing an Audiologist

There are many benefits to visiting a professional audiologist. First, you gain clarity about your hearing health through a full hearing assessment and hearing tests. This allows us to determine the types and severities of hearing loss and provide the most effective treatment.

Second, you gain access to a wide range of hearing aids available. At Clyde Audiology, we offer a wide range of hearing aids from leading manufacturers, including Bluetooth connectivity and advanced digital features. Whether you need aids to suit different types and severities of hearing loss, or a device customised for specific needs, we can provide hearing solutions tailored to you.

Finally, our audiologists provide long-term hearing healthcare through aftercare and follow-up appointments. This ensures your hearing aids continue to meet your needs and usage over time. We are passionate about providing hearing solutions that help patients to help them live life fully, with the confidence of knowing that their hearing needs are supported.

What to Expect at Your Local Hearing Care Appointment

When you request an appointment at our local practice in Glasgow, you will be welcomed by our team of experts who are passionate about providing hearing solutions with compassionate care.

Your appointment begins with a detailed discussion of your hearing concerns and medical history. Your audiologist will examine the health of your ears, check the ear canal, and assess your hearing through a series of tests. These tests include measuring your ability to hear different sounds and pitches.

Once the assessment is complete, your audiologist will discuss the results with you in clear language. If you could benefit from hearing aids, we will work with you to find the right hearing aid from a wide range of hearing aids, including behind the ear and in-the-ear styles.

We offer a wide range of hearing aids to suit different types and severities of hearing loss, making sure your device is tailored to your needs and usage.

Hearing Aid And Hearing Test Services

Hearing aids are one of the most effective solutions for hearing loss. At Clyde Audiology, we offer a range of hearing aids from the leading brands of Phonak and Widex, providing hearing solutions that are comfortable, discreet and effective.

Our hearing aid fittings are carried out by experienced, senior audiologists who tailor every device to your hearing needs. Whether you are looking for digital hearing aids or the latest hearing technology including bluetooth connectivity, we have the hearing aids available to meet your needs.

There is no obligation to buy a hearing aid after your test. We routinely offer free hearing aid trials, for several weeks if necessary. If you choose to move forward with a subsequent purchase, we will provide all the aftercare and support you need. This includes follow-up appointments, adjustments, and guidance on how to use your new aid effectively. If you decide not to purchase with us, we will continue to offer you all the support and advice we can going forwards.

Our Other Hearing Care and Treatment Services

In addition to hearing aids and hearing tests, we also provide tinnitus care, and advice on hearing protection.

We also offer hearing protection solutions for patients regularly exposed to loud environments, and we offer advice on hearing for patients with complex hearing healthcare needs.
