About Us

We’re not trying to take on the high street giants like Boots or Specsavers. Where we stand apart is amongst ‘independent’ Audiology providers and the difference is, we are truly independent! We aren’t part-owned by hearing aid manufacturers and we have no commercial ties to any one company. That means no sales targets, no retail pressure and absolutely no hard selling.

We have the freedom to offer a genuinely bespoke range of digital hearing aids, chosen to suit each individual patient’s needs. We believe that our tailored, expert and unbiased service is unique and refreshing for the Audiology sector in Scotland.

Clyde Audiology Location - About Us

Why We’re Different

Our Audiology team brings together over 20 years of clinical experience, having fitted thousands of hearing devices for people with very different needs and degrees of hearing loss. Much of this experience comes from working within the NHS, where we’ve developed the skills to manage complex cases, as well as more routine ones. This allows us to test and fit hearing aids accurately, even in severe cases, without trying to upsell or push unnecessary products.

Another advantage we offer is seamless access to additional care. We can refer directly to our Nurse Practitioner for specialist wax removal and, where needed, to our ENT Consultant for advanced diagnostics or specialist medical advice. Having ENT, a Nurse Practitioner and Audiology services under one roof is something very few clinics can match and it makes your pathway to better hearing that much smoother.

Experience and Expertise

Our audiologists, Suzette and Danielle, each hold an undergraduate degree in Audiology and each bring more than a decade of NHS experience to their work. They have seen every kind of hearing loss and know how to approach even the most challenging cases. Kirstie, our Nurse Practitioner, adds another level of expertise and routinely performs microscope-assisted wax removal, a service rarely offered in the private sector in Glasgow. Together, the team’s qualifications and background give our patients confidence that they are receiving the highest standard of care.

What We Stand For

At our core, we want to take everything we’ve learned in the NHS and bring it into the private sector, combining the best possible care with the best available technology. We understand the long waiting times and limits of NHS hearing aids. At the same time, we know that private audiology sometimes falls short in terms of standards of care. Our goal is to bridge that gap and deliver the optimum combination of clinical expertise, patient-focused services and advanced hearing technology.

Why You Can Trust Us

One of the biggest differences about us and many other private audiology providers is that we are qualified clinicians, not salespeople. Our aim is always to find the most appropriate hearing solution, even if that means recommending that a hearing aid isn’t the right option for you just now. We don’t use scare tactics or exaggeration to get sales. Instead, we rely on clear communication, clinical evidence and ongoing professional development to make sure our patients are always getting the best advice and care available.

The One Thing About Us That Sets Us Apart

If there’s one thing about us that truly makes us different, it’s the way we fit hearing aids. Every device is fine-tuned using Real Ear Measurements – the gold standard in audiology and a process that is too often skipped by most high street providers. By measuring how the hearing aid performs in your ear, we can ensure that your device is tailored precisely to you. This level of attention to detail and our commitment to achieve excellence in hearing rehabilitation is what helps our patients achieve the very best outcomes.
